Helping Hands

What is Helping Hands?

One of the reasons I became a massage therapist is so that I can help the people in my community. Helping Hands is my way of giving back in more ways than one. Every month I will offer a limited number of massages at a considerable discount, with 100% of the profits benefiting a local charity. Helping Hands benefits not only the charitable organization, but also allows those that can't otherwise afford a full-price massage to experience the benefits of bodywork.

How can I participate?

Please follow these steps if you wish to donate:

1) The first thing you need to do is research the organization that has been chosen for that month. I will personally research each organization myself to see if it aligns with my morals. However, not everyone has the same set of principles, so just because it is a cause I believe in, that does not mean it is something you will agree with. I also believe that it's important to learn about the cause you will be supporting. Helping Hands is not just about getting a cheap massage. I'd like others to experience the same joy that I get from reaching out to those in need.

2) Once you have determined that you would like to contribute, then contact me to make an appointment or with any questions you may have. There are a limited number of massages that I can dedicate to Helping Hands, so make sure you book your spot as soon as possible!

3) Come get your massage! The session will be one hour and must take place at Sterling Health Center in North Dallas. The minimum donation is $40 ($25 below full price), which will be paid directly to me by cash or credit card. $15 of this donation will pay for my room rental, and the remainder will be sent directly to the organization. Of course you can donate more if you wish, however each person may only receive one massage per month as part of this arrangement. You will be given a receipt for your own financial records.

How is each organaization chosen?

Every month I research charitable organizations that are local to DFW, and choose one that I would like to support. My goal is to be able to choose from organizations that are suggested by you. Once a charity is chosen for the upcoming month, I will announce it on my blog.
